Neurofeedback is a non-invasive practice that began in the late 1960s and in recent years it has been adapted to treat ADD/ADHD, anxiety, and depression. Neurofeedback allows the client to maintain his or her brainwaves within certain limits that promote focus and concentration which often results in increased processing speed and regulation of their mental experiences.
Cognitive training is a customized, non-invasive therapy that helps clients combat ADHD and enhance specific cognitive skills through brain-based learning techniques without the use of medication. Unlike neurofeedback, most of the cognitive training is done at home.
Biofeedback therapy is a sensory awareness training technique that teaches children and adults to improve their health, performance, and ability to cope with stress by using signals from their own bodies.
