Frequently Asked Questions

Does your practice accept insurance?

The Family Center, like most mental health practices is a fee-for-service practice. This means that we provide each client with a Super Bill containing all necessary information to obtain direct reimbursement to the holder of the insurance. A Super Bill is provided at the time of payment at each visit. While insurance plans vary with regard to reimbursement fees, typical reimbursement for mental health services can range from 50% to 80%. It is always a good idea to contact your insurance carrier for specific information about your benefit plan.

How do you decide who will see my child? Can I choose which provider I would like to see my child?

We try to best fit your needs with the expertise of the clinicians. Other factors that play a part are their and your available hours. You of course can request a specific provider and we will attempt to honor that request.
