Two Decades of Clinical Experience
Chris Williams is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) with over 20 years of clinical experience. He earned his Master’s in Social Work (MSW) from Howard University, and has worked with a myriad of client populations across diverse public health settings.
Chris’ practice focuses on working with clients dealing with grief and loss, chronic health issues, and mood and anxiety disorders. He also brings extensive experience working with adolescents and families, athletes, and members of the African-American community.
As a former high-level athlete and coach, Chris has a special interest in sports psychology and counseling for both youth and adult athletes. He also works with teams to address how mental and emotional health challenges can impact performance and overall enjoyment of sports. Chris has been in clinical practice at The Family Center since 2001, and has been a resident of Howard County since 1977.
